KNIGHT PROPERTY GROUP HELP RAISE £160K AT PRINCE'S TRUST TENTH ANNUAL CLAY PIGEON SHOOT

Aberdeen-based Knight Property Group joined over 350 sporting enthusiasts, leading business figures and celebrities to help raise £160,000 for The Prince’s Trust at the charity’s tenth annual Clay Pigeon Shoot.

James Barrack, Chairman and Managing Director for the Group and a Scottish Council Member of The Prince’s Trust donated an Audi A3 Cabriolet for the main raffle. He led a contingent of Aberdeen businesses, including ASCO, Petrofac, Stena Drilling and John Clark Group, who all contributed on the day.

Mr Barrack said: "Knight Property Group was extremely proud to be a sponsor of The Prince's Trust shoot. It is a fantastic event which raises much-needed funds and helps thousands of young people every year. The shoot has become an annual fixture in our diaries and we were delighted to help drive the Trust’s fundraising efforts alongside our friends and associates in Scotland's thriving businesses community."

The Prince's Trust supports over 4,000 14-25 year olds in Scotland who have struggled at school, have been in care or are long-term unemployed. Its programmes lead to young people getting back into work, education and training, as well as improving attitudes towards health and lifestyle.

The event has now raised more than £1.6m to help change the lives of young people in Scotland and provides businesses with an opportunity to offer financial support and to raise awareness of the valuable work carried out by the Trust all over the UK.

Gerard Eadie, Chairman of CR Smith who has been involved with the charity’s work for over ten years, said: “This great sporting event has become a prominent fixture in the social diary and all our guests prove to be very generous donors. We are very grateful to Martha for taking time out of her busy UK tour to be part of the entertainment.

“The Prince’s Trust Scotland helps thousands of people every year who have had a difficult start to their young lives and the money raised can make a big difference to the work we do.”

The main sponsors of The Prince’s Trust Clay Pigeon Shoot are Knight Property Group, Compass, CR Smith, ASCO, Petrofac, Hunter Boot Ltd, Resource, Nimrod Group, Vuetec and Brightsolid.
